My love for travel, volunteering, chocolate and a good movie keeps a smile on my face.

I recently followed a Birmingham Nonprofit called Neverthirst to India to document their mission to provide clean water to poor villages. My plan was to educate our viewers about this organization. I am so thankful for the opportunity because I now see the world through very different but very grateful eyes.

In addition to being Weekend Anchor, I have been a Consumer Reporter for 15 years. I also manage a team of volunteers who assist me with solving viewer problems. Together we fight for consumers in North Central Alabama who feel they have nowhere to turn. While working with the volunteer Call for Action team, we have managed to recover more than $6 million for viewers who trust us with their complaints.

I am originally from Raleigh, North Carolina. I have a husband named James, a ten year old named Naomi and spunky Rat Terrier named Layla.
